Michelle chose to birth at Joan Kirner, and from the moment she arrived for her first appointment, staff were attentive, friendly, and sold on the state-of-the-art facilities.

Due to being classed as a high-risk patient, Michelle gained access to multi-disciplinary teams that best suited her care.

With such high demand at Joan Kirner, Michelle had the option of birthing at Bacchus Marsh. While initially apprehensive about transferring to another older hospital, we were assured Bacchus Marsh was part of Western Health and had gone through significant upgrades, which helped ease Michelle’s and her Partners concerns.

Michelle had contacted the Maternity unit at Bacchus Marsh to discuss her birth and was amazed by the detailed approach by staff who were prompt, friendly and facilitated additional checks with a tour of the hospital.

Michelle gave birth to Alayna at Bacchus Marsh with no complication and felt the service received and transferring to Bacchus Marsh was absolutely the right decision for her care.
