John has been seen by the District Nursing team for the last five years in Bacchus Marsh, relating to various conditions from administering medications through to currently requiring complex wound care.
Being able to stay at home and not travel to appointments has taken the stress away from getting to and from appointments or sitting in waiting rooms with the discomfort of John’s foot condition.
John’s wife and primary carer Trish are so thankful for the wonderful nurses visiting their home with an inclusive approach for John’s care, answering any questions and listening to any concerns the couple may have. Liaising with multidisciplinary teams who look after John has been vital to John’s quality of life and health care needs.
During the lockdowns, it was important for John to feel at ease and safe knowing the nurses would visit in full PPE, and he didn’t need to go out in public with COVID-19 being so widespread.
