To me Best Care is about putting the patient at the centre of all we do. Starting from that position allows us to keep an important perspective on the work we do everyday.
A good example of living Best Care I have been involved with during the past year is when we went live with our new Joan Kirner building, following years of planning. However, on the day we identified a risk associated with the ward signage and how the IT system represented this. Aiming not to delay the patient move, the team sprung into action and adjusted all the systems to align.
