Born on 14 10 2021

Lachlan was born six weeks premature at the Ballarat Base Hospital where he spent 2 weeks in the Special Care Nursery (SCN), before having the opportunity to transfer to Bacchus Marsh where Amie resides.

Being closer to home means that Amie does not have the burden of travelling to spend time with Lachlan and has allowed her to also be with her partner and Lachlan’s big brother; 3 ½ year old Mason.

“I felt with the smaller hospital I had more one-on-one time with my baby and the nurses which made me feel comfortable in asking more questions.”

Lachlan is gaining weight, meeting all milestones and will be home soon

What does best care mean to me?
