Western Health Foundation Grants – Open to Submissions

COVID-19 has changed many aspects of our health service in 2020, and our organisation-wide dedication to tackling this pandemic has meant that some of our business-as-usual activities have been put on hold. But our supporters are standing by Western Health. They have partnered with the Western Health Foundation to bring you a new staff grants program to support our staff in continuing to enhance our provision of Best Care.

Have you identified new opportunities to challenge current practice in the pursuit of Best Care at Western Health? Has our COVID-19 response given you an insight into how to enhance your clinical practice? Do you have a great idea for a research project, a quality initiative or a research report that you’d love to get published? Is there an incredible learning opportunity available for you to expand your skills base?….if only you had the funding!

If you answered yes to any of the above, then a Western Health Foundation Staff Grant many be the answer!

Each year in October, Western Health unites to celebrate the fantastic research and quality improvement work from across the entire organisation. The Research and Best Care Conference was formalised in 2019, bringing together the terrific work of Research Week and Best Care Awards. For several years, these two streams have provided awards in recognition of work undertaken across our healthcare divisions, made possible by the support of corporate partners.

Applications are open to all Western Health staff, including clinical and non-clinical teams and individuals. Grants submissions of up to $5000 will be assessed for the following activities:

  • Professional development
  • Furthering research or quality improvement work, or publication of research findings
  • Consumable equipment required to support research project
  • Project-specific activity, where the project is aligned to a Western Health strategic priority
